Though not really the kind of exciting I was going for. o_0

Some loser broke into our house and stole my mom's computer. I have no idea how we managed to have him only take hers (since we have about 6 working computers in the house and hers is one of the oldest) but it looks like they didn't even come downstairs, which I am immensely grateful for. Who knows what could've been taken then.

But still, we were running around frantically after walking in and finding the casing for the door lying on the floor of the sun room (talk about a FAIL door) and my mom suddenly said "Oh no...Where are the cats?" I FLIPPED OUT. I ran around the entire neighbourhood with a bowl of food, asking everyone if they had seen anything. I must've happened pretty early; no one saw a thing.

So I'm having a rather large emotional breakdown because some creep broke into our house and my cats were missing, when we find one of them hiding in the utility room on top of a shelf. That made me feel a little better, and then we found Neko hiding behind a printer in my dad's office. There was a laptop on the floor in there too; she must've attacked the freak when he tried to take it.

So now we've got a large piece of plywood for a back door and my mom's down a computer, but the cats are here and, right now, that's good enough for us. Of course my dad's out of town too. These things only happen when he's away. -_-

I think we might start setting the alarm during the day now. Y'know, just for kicks.
